Project SOAR is the Community Ed program that provides a variety of programs and services for adults with disabilities (AWD). It provides access to community education classes and activities within the Minnetonka, Wayzata, St. Louis Park and Hopkins School Districts. Project SOAR is looking for some enthusiastic and committed people to fill the following positions:
Our Instructors teach a variety of different classes and activities for Project SOAR. You do not need to be a trained teacher or Special Ed Professional to conduct a class. If you have a hobby or a passion for something, and would like to share it with others, then this is the place for you! Pay rate will be determined on an individual basis but will range between $13.00 and $18.00 an hour. Classes and activities run 1 to 3 hours with additional time for prep, and are generally located in School District buildings within the four School Districts.
This person would assist Instructors and the participants during the course of a Project SOAR class/activity. Classroom assistance would consist of "hands on" types of activities and generally includes Cooking, Arts & Crafts and Beginning Computer. Pay rate will be determined on an individual basis but will range between $7.50 and $12.00 an hour. Classes and activities run 1 to 3 hours and are generally located in School District buildings within the four School Districts.
You don't need to be a trained Special Ed Instructor or Teacher. Disability Training is available through Project SOAR.
